Ridden by The Baron for Sumobaby

This little piggy went to market

Showing off the Steppers at Spitalfields Old Market on Sunday went well.

Spitalfields

Nice to come into contact with people whom we’d otherwise not get the chance to show the bikes off to. If you came down and said hello, thanks.

Shop shenanigans

Dave popped by the [stepperstore] to film for his and Laurence’s upcoming documentary.

Dave’s the one with the camera. We think he was revving an imaginary motorbike, but if you know something we don’t, please leave a comment below.

If you haven’t visited our small, but perfectly formed store yet, you should. Our customers are as stylish…

…as our Steppers.

Nokia – Affecting People

We all went to the Nokia party at the Old Dairy last night (we move, we shake) and got a bit merry, greatly aided by this photo of Paul, which features in the campaign for the new N86 8MP.

Nightwatchman

They were screening various shorts they’d filmed over the past few weeks, one of which starred Paul riding his Stepper around the Secret Market. We stayed till late, drinking the free cocktails and eating the free miniature burgers and hot dogs. The miniature meringues were delish, but kept exploding in our hands. We nearly had one supermodel’s eye out.

When it was finally time to go home, we snapped this moody pic outside of the venue.

atmospheric

Thanks to Tim and Nokia for the hospitality and free phones. You’re all invited round for tea and biscuits.

What’s up with that? Seriously.

Okay, so we’re doing a sanctioned event at Spitalfields, right? So what’s with these stickers that the security guards kept dishing out?

Parking_ticket

What’s up with that? Seriously.

We love the East End though, as it’s the sort of place where this guy…

Friar_Tuck

…can date this girl.

Cute_girl_Spits

What’s up with that? Seriously.

She looked equally as good riding away from us.

Cute_girl_Spits_distance

She didn’t steal the Stepper, but she stole our hearts.

Danny Magic stopped by though and cheered us up with the new custom decks on his Vegas Stepper.

Vegas_Stepper

Each of those chips is sunk into the wood. Such attention to detail. We’re also loving the “Dealer” disc. Danny rocks!

In rust we trust

The Rust Stepper is coming. Duncan at Armourtex blatantly thought we were twats for asking him to do what we did, but when he saw the results, even he had to admit this thing looks fantastic.*

Selfridges_MkII

Okay, so the crappy phone photography doesn’t do this justice, but just wait till this thing’s assembled. We’ll get some decent pics taken of it then, providing Luke doesn’t make off with it first.

*He never actually admitted any such thing. He still thinks we’re twats. We love you Duncan!**

**We love you more, Steve!

Selfridges ‘SF’ Stepper

#1 of 100. This custom Diablo is truly wicked. Armourtex outdid themselves this time and the Crazy Bob tyres are sinfully good. If you want one of these, get down to Selfridges and add your name to the waiting list.

Stepperobics aka “Bunsh of Shteel”

Sometimes we find ourselves in an East London warehouse with too little to do.

Paul_sequence

Paul couldn’t walk for an hour after doing this. Our stomachs ached with laughter for at least twice as long.

I remember when this was all (Spital)fields

We’re going to be at Spitalfields Old Market on Wednesday 26th (so shop closed) and Sunday 30th of this month, demoing various Steppers and enticing the public to get on, have a go and maybe eat a little pavement (we’re insured, so who cares).

Carl, our pal at Sony, lent us a couple of really fancy 46″ tellys for the event, so we figured we’d better film a little promo clip so we have something to show on them in case he turns up. Here’s the result, beautifully crafted in next to no time by Joe Rigby and his peoples, featuring music from everyone’s favourite turntablist, TigerStyle.

TigerStyle’s album, eLABoRATe EXPERIMENTS, is out now and available from Gigacrate. Buy it.

Sign of the Times (Online)

Check out the Stepper at Times Online and watch Jason Humphries, the Times Online ‘Cycling Obsessive’, cycling on pavements around London. At least he was wearing a helmet.
